  • What is "Permanent Makeup" and how is it done?
Permanent makeup involves cosmetic tattooing techniques like brow microshading, brow microblading, eyeliner tattooing, and lips blushing. A specialized pen-like tool with fine needles deposits pigment into the skin's upper layers. Techniques vary: microblading uses fine strokes mimicking hair, while microshading offers a powder-like effect. Eyeliner and lips involve careful line work and shading.
  • What is the difference between Microblading & Microshading?
Technique Comparison: Microblading creates hair-like strokes for a natural look. Microshading involves tiny dots or strokes to fill in brows for a powdered, more filled-in appearance. Both can be combined for a perfect brow look.

  • What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that reshapes and sets your brows in place, giving them a fuller and more defined look. The results last about 6-8 weeks.
  • Can I wear makeup after getting lash lift or brow lamination?
For best results, wait 24 hours after your procedure before applying makeup to the treated areas. This helps ensure the treatment sets properly.
  • How long the results last?
The results of a lash lift and brow lamination typically last 6-8 weeks. Brow tinting results last about 4-6 weeks.
  • How often should I get a lash refill?
Refills are typically needed every 2-3 weeks to maintain a full, fresh look. The exact timing depends on your natural lash growth cycle and how well you care for your extensions.
  • Can I switch styles during a refill?
Yes, you can switch styles during a refill, but discuss your desired look with your lash artist beforehand to ensure they have the necessary materials and time.
  • How can I calculate my refill when booking online?
If the appointment is exactly 2 weeks and 3 days since the last refill or initial set, it's considered a 2-week fill. If the appointment is exactly 2 weeks and 4 days since the last refill or initial set, it's considered a 3-week fill. If the appointment is more than 4 weeks and 3 days since the last refill or initial set, it's considered a full set. For example: If the last appointment was on May 1st: A 2-week fill would be scheduled for May 17th (2 weeks + 3 days). A 3-week fill would be scheduled for May 18th (2 weeks + 4 days). Anything after May 29th (4 weeks + 3 days) would be considered a full set.
  • Can I book a foreign fill from other salons?
We start foreign fills at 2 weeks. However, we determine the fill interval based on your current lash condition. If you have 50% or more of your lashes remaining, it's considered a 2-week fill. If it's less than 50%, it's a 3- or 4-week fill. We'll assess this before starting your service. If your current lashes are stuck together or improperly placed, damaging your natural lashes, we may recommend a removal and full set instead. Please inform us about where you got your lashes done, when it was done, and the type of set you have when booking your appointment.
  • How long do eyelash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions lasts as long as a life cycle of your natural lashes, which is usually around 5-6 weeks but you can maintain the fullness of your lashes by getting a refill every 2-4 weeks. Some clients experience a much better retention rate than others depending on how fast their lashes shed and the way they care for your eyelash extensions.
  • Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
Eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lashes provided they are applied correctly with trained professionals. At EMME, we take special care to ensure that our eyelash extensions are all applied individually and correctly to maintain your eyelash health. To ensure the long-term health of your lashes, we highly recommend that you take the advice of your lash stylist regarding the maximum thickness and length that your lashes can safely hold, especially if you have naturally thin or sparse lashes. Refrain from removing the eyelash extensions yourself – this could easily damage your natural lashes as the adhesive bond is extremely strong. Your natural lashes have their own life cycle of growing and shedding over a period of 5-6 weeks so if a natural lash with eyelash extensions attached falls out, it is completely normal.
  • What are "Lash Refills"
Since eyelash extensions fall out according to the growth cycle of your natural lashes, you may choose to “fill” them in to maintain the set’s fullest look. Most clients come back every 2 weeks for a fill, but we have 1-4 week fills available
  • Can I wear mascara on my eyelash extensions?
We do not recommend wearing mascara as it will reduce the retention of your eyelash extensions and the mascara residue may prevent us from doing regular 1-4 week refills. However, if you cannot resist wearing mascara, then only use water based mascara. Do not use oil-based or water-proof mascara as it will dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions. Also, the brush can potentially pull on your eyelash extensions and cause them to be damaged, loosened, or removed.
